II.2 - Single area payment scheme – Art. 36

The single area payment scheme (SAPS) is a decoupled area payment paid for eligible hectares declared by a farmer. Member States applying the single area payment scheme in 2014 may decide to continue to apply the basic payment in the form of a single area payment until 31 December 2020.
